I need to prime my oil pump on my 500, is the procedure basically the same as on a Chevrolet?  Ted

I have an adapted old distro drive that you can chuck up with an electic drill.  You can also pack the oil pump with vasoline in order to make sure it primes.

I just went through this last year. I had a 500 that was hard to prime, even with the Distributor Shaft Adapter. The Shop manual says to remove oil pump, and pack with Vaseline. Re-install. It worked well.
