Title: Did the 1968 Fleetwood 60 Special come with the rear footrest?
Post by: vince on June 13, 2005, 12:00:41 PM
Trying to find out if the 1968 Fleetwood 60 Special came with the rear carpeted footrest. I know that the Brougham did, but not sure about the 60 Special.

FLEETWOOD SIXTY-SPECIAL SUB SERIES 680/681

Features distinguishing 1968 Sixty-Specials, in addition to a longer wheelbase, were the same exterior and interior appointments used in 1967 models. Extra items of standard equipment included:
Automatic Level Control
front and rear power operated ventipanes
and, on Broughams, adjustable reading lamp
padded roof with special scripts and emblems
and carpeted folding foot rests.

There were quit3e a bit of interior changes from 67 to 68.  I think the 67s have much coller door handles, etc.

But one big difference is that 67s have the rear fold down lighted trays attached to the back of the front seat while that was not available in 68.

But yes, the Sixty Special did have rear fold down foot rests.
