Whom can describe anything about these from the factory, with a new car purchase. Was there a tool bag with a zipper in the 40s and what about the early 50s ? Wood chock included-tools ?
Thanks in advance.
Bruce Berghoff has reproduced the tool bag and tools for 1941 at least.
Just had to put a comment in here. I have the original jacks for a couple of my 41s. They probably have never been used......and Id never use them even for demonstration. The concept of jacking the lip of the wheel, then placing a stand under the axle or frame scares me.
However, having the set of tools is a nice thing.
Ive been told from a reliable source that a wood chuck was included with the 49s.
If theres a wood chuck in the trunk, you better let him out before he starves to death. Sorry, I couldnt resist. Bob
BOB: Ya bum! I think that a wood CHOCK was included in Cadillacs from early forties for quite a few years. They were no showpiece, but they were something to use.
Im trying to assist the current owner of Ron Van Geldrens restored 1949 fastback, that first presented at the 1992 Phoeniex CLC Grand National.
Maybe I should of posted this Sincere Posting on the CLC Modified chapter boards ?

I was pleasantly surprised to find a bag of those wooden wheel chocks in the trunk of my 59 when I took delivery.
