Title: 64 Eldo - Anyone Remember This One?
Post by: Tore Robert Klerud, CLC#20146 on June 15, 2006, 06:24:05 PM
Hi there.

Some time ago I stumbled over a 64 Eldorado, halfway thru a restoration process, still in pieces and still with lots of work left, for sale by the late owner´s estate. I left a not too hefty bid on it just to get involved if a bid war should start, and now I got the somewhat surprising message that my bid was actually accepted.

First Norwegian owner imported the car to Norway back in 2000 or 2001 (at least he had it licenced then - could have been imported earlier). I hope he is still alive and can tell me a little more about it when I get around to contacting him, but thought I could ask here too, if someone by chance would remember 64 Eldorado body # 1763, a black one with red leather, that was exported from the USA a few years back. If you do, I would be interested in hearing any info you have on it.

For the record it is a black on red leather, bench seat, with a black top (oh well, black originally - but the one that is there now looks like it has been white). Sentinel, cruise, tinted glass, AC, tilt and telescope, and some kind of radio. And yes, I have been in touch with Mr. Jerome Puma and Mr. Lance Hirsch, who had not heard about this car before.

Thank you for any hints!

Congratulations, Tore!!!   That is quite a coup!  I know we will all look forward to your restoration and the subsequent pictures!  Will you document the process?  Just curious.
I am sure you will be very, very happy with this acquistion.
