Scheduled maintenance religiously adhered to,  oil change every 3K miles.   Replaced the transmission in 1988.    Most reliable and sound automobile anyone could ever hope for...(naturally, it's a  CADILLAC!).

But here's the story:   Has not been driven for 16 years.   The engine was smooth and strong when I parked it-nothing wrong with the car at all.   I stopped  using  it  when I got my BMW, intending to save it for long trips.    They weren't designed for commuter traffic.   That kind of performance  is for the open road!!

So, it's been parked  in a space I rent in the  RV storage area where I live.   Now the rental agreements for passenger vehicles are being terminated - if I don't move it, they will.    I am a derelict for letting it sit  all these years - but  you've heard the phrase, "Out of site, out of mind..."   I just forgot about it.   Oh and the other one,  "How time flies...."

In the spirit of promoting the restoration of fine cadillacs,  this one is worthy.   Any questions or for a picture lI can be reached at:
