Hello:
I will be at Hershey for my third year. Looking for several parts: ceiling light glass piece, runningboard trim for the 138" wheelbase, great condition triple catwalk front fender bars (the two sets of three each), surface mount transmissions (I think that is what you call them) for the windshield wipers, need the wiper arms and blades also. Could use better chrome for the hood sides. Need a driver's side front brake piston unit (missing one - the line is capped off). Need a correct set of horns (I have two short ones)..... and etc. Please let me know if you have any of these items and/or if you will be at the event. Thank you.

Hello Cel: Thank you for your response regarding the catwalk pieces! By the way, I still have the dashboard cigarette lighter for you if you want it. I did not see any reply because I was in Kazakhstan visiting our son serving in the Piece Corps at that time.

good evening Ty, firstly let me apologise for not responding to your kind offer earlier ,i recieved other responces through my normal email and just assumed that was how all correspondance came , so i didn't notice the change in my posting , like i said i'm new at this ,i assure you i would never knowingly ignore help where my Cad is concerned.
what i have that may help you is 1 set of bars , when restoring mine ,i couldn't get any decent ones, so i had some cast in a high quality bronze ,i had an extra three done in case i botched the repro however after cleaning them up and shaping each one to its position they polished up beutifully and could be chromed straight up,they have the pins on the back in the cast but i drilled and tapped some threaded studs in mine (as original) if these will help, you're welcome to them, you will still need another three however.
thanks for the offer of the cigerette lighter ,i have since obtained one but i still need the 2 rear ones and 1 rear ash tray if you by chance have one or know of one  cheers Cel

Hello Cel:

Thank you for your offer! I will be very glad to help pay for some of the cost in developing those bars. They will help a lot! Perhaps I can have three more made as well. The ones I have were rechromed but not prepared correctly still having large pits in them and covered with chrome. Also, they have lost their true shape as the edges have been worn too rounded.

I do have an extra rearseat armrest ash tray lid you can have without the pull device or cup. I will be going to Hershey October 8th for the four days and can search for a complete set or sets for you. Just let me know what you need.

Thank you.

hi again i'll look into getting more castings for you ,it was a long time ago that i had them done so i have no idea what they would cost now, they wern't cheap then as i recall,i will let you know.If you could keep your eye out for some stuff at hershey for me  that would be great ,lighters and trays as discussed ,a trunk handle (lockable) and fuel pump bowl seal x2.
i had a friend who used to go to Hershey annually for over 20years sadly he passad away a few years ago i'd been  promising to go one day ,it will happen one day i guess.
Now that i'm nearing the end of my project i have some parts and pieces that i'm considering selling what is the best way to way to find out what a fair price for them would be ?  i get a lot of conflicting opinions

Hello Cel:
Thank you very much for your effort regarding the potential casting of additional bars. I hope you can get those made. That would save me years trying to find great sets.
I believe if you provided a list of items here that you would consider selling you would receive several emails regarding them. I would certainly be interested in knowing what they are! Anyone having a '37 Cad will be looking for parts. There seems to be a new interest in the '37 Cad now and I am glad for that. But, it is also making it very hard to find parts. Therefore, I believe you should start here and see what you are offered for each part. You could also join the CLC for $35.00 (I think) and place your items in the magazine. You will find it a very interesting, current, and helpful read. I even purchased many back issues for reference material.
If you send the list I can also price items for you if I find them at Hershey. If I find the lighters and an ashtray I will purchase it for you. I will check McVeys for the gasket.
Thank you.
