Can anyone tell me if my '54 Conv should have a trans cooler, I can't see any sign of one or even an old style heat exchanger, or any in/out fittings on the side of the gearbox?

Anyone advise???

Pat

Peter,
First use of a trans cooler was on a 1955 twin four barrel carb engine (Eldorado)

The one exception is the 53's with the Dynaflow, or as Cadillac insisted on calling it the Twin Turbine.
