Please view the post in the Forum Support forum, it has a poll about making a dark mode (i.e. dark color screens instead of bright white) available. This can be of interest for those that access the forums from a mobile device as dark screens use less battery power. But we need to know whether enough people want this before investing the time to install an extra mode.

I am keeping the engine and trans, but everything else is up for grabs.  I will be picking up the car this weekend and doing the engine swap in the next 6 weeks, so you have some time, but I want to get pre-orders ready.  The interior and body is in good shape as the car has only 70k miles on it.  Prices are low and even lower if you come and strip them yourself.  The car is in Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley.

I think the 71 hood is a little more pointed in the middle, but I can't say for sure.  If you want it I'll take $40 for it.

No, I'm putting it in this car my friend and I are restoring.  We like to take cars that are complete pieces of junk and get them back on the road especially if they are different.  The 55-56 Packard are the only cars that had Auto Leveling Torsion Ride suspension, on 4 wheel Torsion bars.  I would rather have a Packard V8, but the big problem with them, beside the cost of rebuilding is the transmission.  Other than a few very rare 4-speed cars they all had Ultramatics behind them, which are expensive and have rare parts.  Plus the Packard V8 has the bellhousing cast into the block, so a conversion to a GM trans is very expensive.  So for a paltry sum we got this whole Cad with a nice big engine to fill up the engine bay.  And its not like anyone else was dying to restore either car so I don't feel to bad about making a junkyard car non-original.

FYI
The hood fits 73-4

The Packard is going to end up a beautiful ride.   Totally reliable, and economical cruising to boot.

By bumper end cushions do you mean the bumper fillers or the rubber pieces on the bumper?

FYI, the molding is missing and the radio is gone.
Sent you an email on the steering box.
