Just wanted to share with everyone that a car I have been after for 35 years is now mine.  Unfortunately the car has been sitting outside for most of that time.  Car was painted Iris with an Alpine White top with black cloth seats trimmed in white leather with the big V in the back cushion.  Car has Air Conditioning and had wire wheels but they are gone, taken off because one of the owners along the way was worried about the spokes poking through the inner tubes.  There is a Cadillac Division archive picture that is my car exactly.  It would be interesting to know how many were produced with that exact option list.  Anyone have production figures of options?  Thanks

Hello Greg

Congratulations on your purchase. You exhibition of patience is admirable. I would suggest the purchase of an Authenticity Manual and Roy Schneider's Cadillac of the Fifties.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

And a workshop manual. It's a Coupe DeVille isn't it? - you have stainless steel covers on the roof drip rail from what I can see. I have a 54 Coupe DeVille and have owned it since 1989.

Short term for the car is it is now inside at my parents in Northern Oklahoma.  It is a Coupe De Ville.  The car was sold new in OKC which you might find interesting OKCCADMAN.  Do you know the name of the dealer in the fifties.  I think it might have been Darby Everest but am not sure.  I plan on having it restored as I am in FL and don't have anywhere to work on it.

In 1954 it was still Greenlease-Moore.  In 1955 it became Darby Everest.  I thought that was Oklahoma wrecker.  Beautiful car.  I am the moderator for the Cadill-Ikes chapeter devoted to 54-56 Cadillacs.  Check us out, membership is free.

I would love to go see your car and take some pics for my archives sometime.  Is it close to Perry, OK?

Jim.

My parents own a farm outside of Perry and that's where it is.  The original owner was from Perry.  I have more pictures of it that I took when I was home for Christmas that I can send you so you don't have to drive up to Perry.  Is the Moore part of Greenlease-Moore the Bob Moore part or some relation?

I also have a 1941 series 62 4 door that was purchased from Tulsa new and I think the name of that dealership was Greenlease-Letterman.  From the research I have been able to do it was bought new by a former mayor of Tulsa name Hubbard.
