Hopefully I'll be (re)painting Bessie's engine this weekend.  I got the Hirsch Cadillac blue paint.

One question:  Should the crankshaft pulley be blue like everything else, or should it be black, or some other color?

Oh, and the little thingy with the timing marks next to that pulley, same question.

Thanks!

P.S. When is the authenticity manual going to come out for these cars?  I'm going to have tons of questions like this in the next several months...

Authenticity manual is getting very close.
I will answer your other questions later in the day when I get home and can peek under the hood under my '76.

If you had tin pulleys then they are black but on the 1976 they are a big cast iron part and it is painted engine color.  The timing tab is also engine color.

The water pump pulley is black.

Thanks, Ted!

I didn't get to paint last weekend anyhow because I noticed it says on the can not to paint when it's over 80 degrees, and it was above 100 both days.  Maybe next weekend.  At least I know what to paint now.
