Yep made the stop over in Atlanta to pick up a part, and meet Jay. He had me pull her into his garage for a look at a loose steering column. Two bracket bolts had wiggled loose under the cover. Jay tightened em up and she was good as new. We left Jays and hit the road for dinner. So I decided to go for home that night. Whew I didn't make. Exhausted we rolled into a rest area, and crashed for a couple hours. Got home around six am, My Fav Gal hit the sheets. What da H ll did I do? Started with a wash of front half when a storm rolled in. So half in and front half out of garage I washed her down with a McGuire car wash. The rain rinsed her off. Prior experience tells me bug gut acids will melt right into the paint if left to itself. Chamoised her off. Torqued down a couple bolts recommend by fellow CLCer. And tucked her into the stable.  Thanks to Ken for in Austin, John in Justin, Jay in Atlanta, and of course all our Friends online at CLC. The trip was fun for me, because I don't mind dealing with unknowns. My Gal had a good time. However with that in mind, the long hot days in a Convertible can test the occupants emotional temperament. It did. Like when we got turned around several which ways and our gps wasn't cooperating. Or getting stuck in Traffic with the 52's temp guage rising right alongside mine. I think shorter trips will be order unless AC is installed, as well as the cars temperment. Put the AC on our wish list.
The trip itself was only supposed to be about 10 days total. Turned out Dad went for a hospital stay of around 10 days after we had gotten their. I stayed with my folks . Well the kids were ecstatic over having a rental car to take back to GA, because it had AC. They had to get to school. My Gal then drove back in it. What a trooper she is. Have a great day all.
