I would like to buy some front accessory license plate fillers. The aluminum ones with the horizontal grooves. Like this one, although way too expensive!!

I would prefer that they are plain, with no emblems affixed.

I can be contacted via email, or phone.
Thanks!!

Check with your Cadillac dealer.  I bought 2 nos about 3 years ago.  I have to look up the part number but they were still available.  I paid $35.

Sorry, I do not have one for sale. But I wanted to thank you for bringing this up.

I have one on my '51 sedan, I didn't know where it came from. It looks like it originally had Cadillac script and a shield emblem.

The script was missing and the holes were filled with metal set or something. I liked the plate but didn't like the filler in the holes, so I removed the shield and put a trunk emblem from a '47 on the plate covering all the holes.

Embossed on the back of the removed shield, was DL Auld, Columbus O. I had never heard of them, but I read up on them and they have a pretty interesting history. They made a lot of the early automotive badges.

McVeys refers to them as
front bumper filler plates
and are $69 also, which he's indicated is too expensive. Same price. HTH, Jeff

Pert number:  1480301.  It's really the same filler plate used from 1958 to just a few years ago.  The '57 filler is different.  When license plate size was finally standardized for 1957, manufacturers started integrating plate provisions in the front bumper.
