Hi Grant, I have some photos of the trunk handle. It's pretty nice, with some shallow pitting and very nice chrome. Excellent for a driver or base for 100 % chrome. Needs keyed by a locksmith to match your door key. $40.00 plus $5.80 flat rate priority box. Reply by e-mail fltd6019@embarqmail.com. That's a "Q" not a "G". Thanks, BW.

Guys,
I don't want to interfere with your transaction. But...I think that the handle is a short shaft 60S or 75 style. The 62 series is longer.
Grant, what style is your car? I may have some sun visors.

I'm not sure about the length of the shaft on the handle as I don't have the original.  It apparently snapped, and was junked by the previous owner.  The car is a 62-series 4-door sedan - style #: 41-6219D.  Original trim was #77, Tan heather Cord. Rgds, Grant

Still looking for a trunk latch handle and striker plate.

The handle shown in the photos above is not the correct replacement - the shaft is too short.  The shaft should measure approx. 3 1/4 inches from the back of the handle to the tip of the thread. Grant

If you are really stuck its possible to cut the shaft on these handles and weld in an extension. I have done this several times, this leaves you with a handle you can't lock but its better than having no handle and will get you by until you find a correct one.

Grant, If you want, please return the handle. I goofed up and didn't know there was a difference. Barry.

No worries Barry.  I'll just advertise it for sale when I have the lock assembly replaced. Grant

Thanks Steve.  I do have a replacement (Buick) that will work however, I'd like to get the 'real thing' if I can. Cheers, Grant
