my car has the sentinel lighting option,

i've actually never tried if it worked before, but tonight i decided to try it,  when i turn the button to the right, and leave the light switch off, the car turns on the lights when i start it, but makes some buzzing sound, the same sound as if i dont put my seat belt on.

i thought it would maybe stop buzzing after few seconds, but then i started to feel a smell like something was burning,  if i switch the igniton off the buzzing stops and the lights go off,

when i turn the sentinel light button back to off (to the left)  it stops,

anyone seen it act like this before? it seems to work, but why the seatbelt warning sound comes on, i dont know,

Could be a shorted twi -lite sent. module/control, get under the dash and check it out, square white plastic  " box" up under the l/s I believe.

The sound you are hearing is the twilight sentinel module itself that is vibrating and making that noise.

i read somewhere that it could be a timer, ment to be somekind of entry home lights,

is it making that buzz noise because of cracked module?

There is a relay inside the module and that is "chattering" either because of a "failed" module, or a wiring issue external to the device.  I strongly suggest you get a factory service manual if you are going to exdplore this system.
