I have bumper andirons on the front bumper of our 37 opera coupe.  They do not match, one is very plane ( right side of picture), and the other has a raised area up the center (left).  They are both 14" tall.  I am looking for a matching set or one that will match one of the two I have.  I am also in need of two more of the smaller pieces for the rear bumper.  If anyone can help, please reply or send an email to thelazyk@cox.net.  Thanks, Lou Kish

The small ones are correct for your car Lou. The ones in the middle are after market and fitted badly I think. They are usually fitted just 1 dead centre but you can't do that with the bumper plate there. Very sadly it looks like someones drilled through the bumper plate to fit them, shame.

Hello Lou

Glad to read you are improving your LaSalle.

Steve is point on.  Your bumper guard is not authentic and the adaptations are not reversible.  Without evaluating your total vehicle I can only recommend that you acquire pieces that have already been chromed.  I would also ask you to read the appropriate authenticity manual to learn about your automobile.  Lastly your appreciation of car would be greatly enhanced if you studied LaSalle: Cadillac's Companion Car book by Ron Van Gelderen and Matt Larson.

This forum is always here to assist.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

hello there are some on ebay now

Lou Kish

I will check out Ebay now, I have looked before but could not find anything matching.   Not being original equipment, I thought maybe some members may have had some they were not going to use and willing to sell.  Thanks, Lou.

Couldn't find anything matching on Ebay doing a search of bumperet and 1937 LaSalle.  Is there another category I need to pursue?  Anyway, still looking.

If you look under 'Bumper grill guards' theres a matching pair although not for your car specifically, plus some odd ones.  Personally I'd remove them and plug the holes.
