Is there the remote chance anyone out there has the horn junction that screws into bottom of the steering column?  Mine is missing.  Thanks

What series Ken? The big series with the articulated column uses a connector that is inside the cab and the smaller 60 uses a fitting in the engine compartment. These same connectors were used in later years for the specific series so that gives you greater scope in finding one. The small series were used on Buick also and are still available.

Series 75 which is located just before the firewall on the steering column.  The Master Chassis Body Parts list has it referenced as Part Number186 0931 for all the 1936 Series Cadillac's.  Maybe someone would have a picture of one. Thanks for your response.

My 36 carries that connector and I have a friend here in the UK who has a 1937 big series with the same articulated column so they must have been used later as well.   If you don't get lucky will try to remove mine and take pictures but I remember when I fitted it during the rewiring it wasn't easy.

It consists of a spring loaded piece of carbon that bares on the brass strip in the column shaft.

Attached are two pics of my 37-50 and its horn connection on the steering column near the firewall. These are available from "chevsofthe40s.com" they are widely used on GM cars if the era

Deon, thats SMALL series only. The bigger series have articulated steering columns and no wires running inside that far down, the connector is as Harry's picture inside the car.
