Gary is correct. A 0-30, 5-30, or 10-30 oil is a 30wt oil at operating temperatures. The only difference is the flowability at cold start up. A 0-30 will reach vital parts quicker than a 10-30 on cold starts. Until the federal mandate to reformulate the zinc and phosphorus, I used Amsoil 0-30 in my 63. I now use Amsoil 5-30 diesel/gas engine oil that has the correct amount of zinc and phosphorus in the additive package.
