Looking for a project interested in the years 1939-56,1958-62,1965-66, and 1971-72. Interested in 2 doors and 4 door hardtops. Possibly a hearse or flower car if I could get that lucky. Willing to look at a full on project to a decent near roadworthy project. I know an early car is not likely. Id really love to have a 49-54, 1958-60, a 66 or 71-72. Must have a title and preferably within a 6-8 hour drive of Findlay, Ohio 45840. Thanks Post what you have with info and a price and I'll see what I can do. Id like to spend a month or so shopping around for the right car. Thanks!

EDIT* As a side note I would really like the car to be a hardtop. Didn't realize that most of the series 75 cars are not hardtops but I would be interested in a 1966 Series 75. As I do really like that body style.

As much as I'd love to the no title bit is a deal breaker for me. Thanks though.

Why??? What state do you live in? There's lots of ways to get a title.

Hello Ryan,

CLC and forum member Vince Taliano posted this message last week.

"My friend Steve has a 1958 Cadillac 6-Window Sedan (parts or restore) for sale.  It has 98,000 miles and was purchased from the original owner.  It needs an engine.  He has the tail lights missing on car.  He is asking $2,500.  For more information, feel free to contact him directly at 347-446-6224 (no email address).  The car is located in Marathon, NY (between Binghamton and Syracuse, NY)."

I'm in Ohio and I've tried the no title deal with a 1948 Buick I had. Never again sorry but a title is a simple thing and it has to be there or I'm not interested. Everyone told me it was easy to get one when it really wasn't and cost a lot of money for a gamble.

RyanBurman

That 58 looks decent I'll have to think on that one. That's a haul for me. There is a 1958 4 door like that down in Kentucky right now too for 3800 obo that runs and drives in about the same shape. The guy has been sitting on it for months because no one wants a 4 door at that price. I do but I seem to be the minority.

Hi,my Dad lives in Ohio and has a 72 Fleetwood. It has 78000 original miles. It is not from Ohio. Interior is preety nice,he keeps it covered.Talked to him today to see if he would sell it,he said he would take $2500 for it. He also said he had just started it and ran it for a while today, runs good. It is in Creola Ohio. If it interests you Email cadmanken@netzero.net He is 81 and doesn't use it much aymore. I might have a picture I could send of it from about 3 years ago. Ken Perry

This is a little far from you but I was surprised to see a relatively rust free (from very limited photos) 64 Fleetwood.  Seller does not know Cadillacs as they do not know which V8 is installed.  I'd grab this if I had a pole barn and a trailer rig to haul it home.

I didn't manage to find anything so the money went into other projects. I will be looking again around the time I get my income tax back. It's pretty much my only time to make a large purchase. Thanks for the replies but for right now I'm not looking.

Now that's what I call a dedicated hobbyist.  The hobby seemingly being just jumping on the old interweb and creating a stir.  I am beginning to see why countless CLC members no longer pay attention to this forum.

Its crap like that statement that makes me not want to be here. I was on here before with my 2 other projects and to be honest was pleased with the few people I dealt with but beyond that found quite a few of you quite on the snobby side but held in for the good people. I will stick with the BOP and Chevy guys as they're always helpful and now I've been reminded why I didn't come to this page for a long time to begin with. Thanks.
