I look for rear Fender spears for my 1946 61 Coupe. I believe, there are the same like from the 4door sedan.
Do anybody have a advise for my, where I could fine such parts?

Hi, These are impossible to find. If you have any on the car that could be repaired, you should do so. Sorry. Or, best of luck in finding some.

And Oliver, with a thousand miles between me and Dennis, believe me, his price is a bargain.

What is the difference between a spear for a 42-47 series 62 coupe and a 42-47 series 61 coupe? Is it the length or a difference in the curvature of the fenders between the two series?    Bill

Bill,  length for sure; likely some curvature, as well.  Also, a '42 spear for either series will be longer than their '46/'47 counterparts as the '46/'47 cars have the wrap around rear bumper ends which the '42 doesn't have.  So the '42 spears have a bit more length to cover.

Thanks  Jeff     Years ago when I had a spot at Hershey, I found this spear which was supposedly a 47 a 62 coupe spear. Put it on the shelf and forgot about it. So will do some measuring and compare to the spear already on my 47 convert.  Bill

Guys,
The spears fit 2 & 4 door cars.
42 is by itself.
46/47 the same.
Courtesy my MPL.
I think more of you should invest in these books.

I studied my book Bob and found it a little confusing but can this be right? The same spear on 2 & 4 door cars? I had a 1947 four-door and it had it's spear in two pieces because the front of the fender was made up of the 'Cap' attached to the back door necessitating a break in the spear. The 2 door requires no such break.

Guys,
Just to clarify, the 46-47 SERIES 61 (not 62) rear fender spears are unique to the Series 61 (B body, so it's smaller and different from the Series 62).

The Master Parts List shows:

Group 10.0705:  1451137   46-61; 47-61   RIGHT
                         1451138   46-61; 46-61   LEFT

There are different link spears and 42 were longer due to bumper length.  Hard to find any at all. I have a spare with rusted out bottom I would give you but it is 1942  67 series.  It will need to have  portion welded or silver soldered prior to chrome plating and may need to be shortened. How long from end to tip is it??

If you can not find a viable spear you will need to be creative and plan on spending large!

My spear is for the right side (Yes they are directional!)

Hello Gary,
the Fender of the series 67, is it comparable to the  Fender of a series 62 or more 61. I ask for the possibility to short the spear a little. But like I understood is the 1942 longer because, the bumper doesn’t go around the edge. And in case of a 62 Fender is in Addition to that more longer, because of the length of the body.
I think it could be a little too long to modify properly, before re-chroming.
The spear you have is from the right hand side, you said. How much do you want for it, if you would sell it? Do you have pictures?
Bob spoke about any books, which have to be read. Which does he mean?
