Good afternoon,

Thinning out my LaSalle parts and I want to get the bumper information correct.  The first two sets have LaSalle on the bumper.  The third one has on hole in the middle and is longer than the first two. I am not sure of the year and model these belong to.  If you know, please share your knowledge with me.

Thank you for your help.

Hello Rich, These are from a 1939 or 1940 Lasalle. The bumpers on these cars had the same appearance but the difference is in the distance between the holes and the total length. The front bumper on my 1940 Lasalle 50 series is 68 1/4"  long the way you measured it and the distance between the holes measured on the front is 34 1/4". The ones with "lasalle" on them are back bumpers.
According to the authenticity manual,
"The 1939 series 50 front bumper was unique"
"The 1940 series 50 and 52 front bumpers were the same"
"The 1939 and 1940 series 50 rear bumpers were the same"
"The 1940 series 52 rear bumper was unique"

Be sure to advertise the total length and the distance between the holes.

Thank you for helping me to identify these bumpers. They are dent free and could be really nice for someone's LaSalle.
