Dome light '41 62 sedan

Hello All,

Quick easy question, my dome light is out and I can't get the lens out! Afraid I'll break it. Is there a ''trick''? I've taken out quite a few on other cars, but....I feel dumb,

The only trick is that there are four tabs holding it in-one on each face of the rectangle.

You need to carefully press inward against the center of one of the long sides and one of the short sides at the same time and gently pry downward.

Primitive plastic+seventy five years of light and heat make for a very breakable lens.

If it breaks, reproductions are available. I got one from McVey.

Yes, as Alan said. Grip it well and gently pull downwards. but don't drop it

I used a heat gun to warm it a bit and made it more bendable. Be patient and don't melt it.
