I’m working on a project with this that is pretty grimy and since it’s a delicate material I’m working carefully but so far have been unsuccessful in finding a product / technique that does no harm to the finish (I’m working first in an area that’s hidden of course with very light pressure, microfiber, non abrasives etc).

So far tried a light microfiber wipe of highly diluted Simple Green, same of Dawn dish detergent ( don’t laugh it’s often helpful in light degreasing and is gentle to old fiinishes) Griots Garage Interior Cleaner.

Interested in what others have done.

Thanks

Mine was really bad when I bought the car. You could barely make out the grain. Because the finish was not protected the rust would lift the Di-noc.
I removed the dash, cleaned it carefully with washing up liquid. When dry I applied 6 coats of 2-pack clear which was then rubbed down with 500 wet & dry, and the mechanically polished.  The clear brought out the lovely original colors and spectators think it has been professionally re-done.
