Installing the engine and found that the temperature sending unit is broken. I know some of this is a long shot, but are there any suppliers of these?  I know it is attached to the gauge as a single unit. Hate to have to put an aftermarket gauge somewhere. Any help is always appreciated.  Paul

This was asked recently. There are places in the US to repair them.

I did a search for temp sending units and didn't really find anything. I did recently ask about fuel sending units and found several businesses that repair them.

They are indeed all one piece, you can't just replace the "sending unit".  They CAN be repaired but the complete gauge, tubing and bourdon tube must be sent out.  My suggestion for repair was, Instrument Services --- www.clocksandgauges.com
They have repaired 2 old style bourdon tube water temp gauges for me, one in my '35 Cadillac and one in my 1950 Jaguar Mark V sedan.

It's a capillary tube on 37 though Bill! but that's a good link for someone else asking about the electric type.
