Hi, my Name is Christian and i am restoring a 47 Cadillac Convertible with a strong trunk collision. Now my Question, does anybody know if the trunk is the same as the 62 series Sedan? thank you for any answer.

BJM

It is not the same as the sedan trunk.

It IS the same as 1942/1948 Buick Super/Roadmaster and 1942/1946/1947 Olds 98 convertible. (Except for holes here and there.) When tackling a major restoration job such as this, an idea of "what would work" from other GM makes can cut down the "looking for" part of your search greatly.
Filling un-needed holes and mounting brackets was child's play to old time body men. (And drilling new ones.) Good luck.

I used a trunk lid from a 47 Buick convert. Your chances of finding a Buick lid is much better than finding one from a Cadillac. Bill

What you might do, is when you go on the other Forums is to simply ask for a lid from "a Buick." There are some out there that might bump the price even higher (It IS going to be salty...) if they know it's for a Cadillac. Again, best of luck.
