1956 Cadillac rocker stainless

Can anyone tell me if the rocker stainless is the same for a 1956 Cadillac Sedan Deville (4 door hardtop) and a convertible?

I'm pretty sure they are polished aluminum, and not stainless. They wore much differently than my car's exterior stainless.

They are stainless. I had to repair them when I did my '56 de Ville more than 30 years ago. Due to the position at the car, yours coud have been "sanded" and getting a different visual aspect.

they are stainless.  Roger is correct.  they also cost lots of $ to repair.

I had the luck to straighten them myself but boy, it was a lot of work till they were good enough!
