Well I replaced my regulator and it appears the generator is toast.  Please let me know if you have one.  Thanks.

Based on the tag number your generator is a 1937 small series 3 brush type. There is information about the differences between this system and later 2 brush systems. The main take away is the regulator has to match the generator and the later system seems to be more efficient.      Harry

Harry:

Do you happen to know anyone who might have this generator?  I got a quote for a rebuild but I'm very hesitant to send anything away since I had someone steal a part from me a few years ago.

You need to test it first to make sure it's the generator.   Any auto electric shop should be able, but those are getting scarce too.   Not much goes wrong with a generator except wear out.   Mostly brushes, commutator, or bearings.   Sometimes the old windings fail.   Check the wiring and battery, too.

I do have one but can't call it anything but a core.     Harry

The one that I have may be incorrect, but here is a link to one that is advertised.
