Mike,
This is your one shot golden opportunity. See if you can get the restoration shop to copy the parts your car is missing. My sincere suggestion to you.

Mr. Fussell,

Congratulations on your acquisition!  Have you joined the club?  There are a number of members who are very knowledgeable about the care and feeding of Cadillac V-16 cars, including the later (flathead engine) cars.

Send me a PM and I will give you some names.

Best regards,

Chris Cummings

Hello Mr. Fussell, My suggestion is to clean it up and drive it as is. How many owners of V-16 s actually drive them? Probably not many because they get elaborate restorations and the owners don't want to get it dirty/damaged. This one you could drive without worry. They are only original once and this one still has all the authentic details from the factory.

This is just a suggestion as I have not seen the car in person. Maybe it needs restoration.

If you have the cash to spend contact these guys. Though not in georgia.  I had the opportunity to tour the shop a year ago.  They had amazing stuff a very capable.   He often creates his own reproduction parts when he come across missing parts.  Often he will have to pay for a minimum production run of 100 to 500 parts when he just needed 1 for the current car he is working on.

You can’t beat stone barn.  But it will be very expensive.  If you are going for a pebble beach restoration be sure to restore it back to original.  I would suggest ordering a clc authenticity manual.

You would get better feedback information with photos.  Hope you have deep pockets if going for a show car verses a tour car.  I dropped over $100K in mine not counting the purchase price and that was 1990 dollars.

According to an internet inflation calculator, $100,000 in 1990 is worth $198,866.11 today.
