things never go as planned when it comes to projects ....at least with me. few years ago purchased a 78 cdv that was "reconditioned"  painted escalade pearl white, int ok , body very nice. great find here in NE.
sat parked in a portable tent / garage for a couple years. bad idea. was like a sauna and caused ps floor rust.  wondering if someone could help me find floor sections new or used PLEASE.. 
pics to follow. decided to pull tired drivetrain for ls 6.0 with 4l80e   has ls1 intake, headers, stage 2 cam, stainless headers, 2.5 y to 3" full exhaust and tune.  very clean install. 100 spoke 18" on way. wanted it to stand out but still look classic.
