BEWARE of Dave Chartrand selling parts!
He had posted on Facebook that he was selling parts off a 1940 Cadillac from Bismark ND. He seems like an honest person until you get to the money part of the transaction.
RED FLAGS!
He doesn't take/use PayPal. When I asked for his address to pick them up in person he got real obnoxious. Sure fire sign that he is a scammer.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

While frustrating To some people, ...I  do not take or use PayPal, and inviting strangers to your home is not particularly safe either anymore. Maybe arrange to meet at a near public place?

Many police departments have designated 'e-commerce' areas for people making online transactions to meet.

I do use PayPal, but not if I have to meet up with the person anyway. I agree about the rest. When selling stuff I don't have anyone come to the house (unless the item is just too big to easily transport). Always meet in a public place (or police station) and bring someone else along if possible. I'm also usually armed since you sadly never know these days. Too many Craigslist/Facebook selling horror stories out there.

Thanks for posting the 'Heads Up', Greg.

Believe it or not, a WalMart parking lot is a great place to conduct a transaction. They are loaded with cameras. They are practically every light pole. Position yourself prior to the meeting in a spot you want.

And sadly, a 12 friend clip with one chambered is always a good thing to have if you can't have a human friend with back up.

I personally am not too concerned with meeting up with strangers...
Maybe I'm just gullible? I am careful...

I am concerned with people talking the good talk and then running with your money.

I always check out who I am dealing with by Googling any contact info I can find or have for the other party. PayPal is pretty secure but I am willing to look into other payment options, don't mean I am going to use them. I like cash and when I offer someone cash and they get obnoxious it clearly is a scammer and scammers need to be called out...

Today he calls himself Dave, tomorrow he has a new name and a new thumbnail profile pic...

Love this post, and the fact that it made it without the petticoat police getting all ruffled.

And as it seems so are others, with the "don't leave home without it" preparedness - NO NOT AMERICAN EXPRESS - "say hello to my little friend" - if you don't get it, Google it.

Have fun,
