Suggestions for rear caliper replacements for 1976 Eldorado w/ four wheel disc brakes preferably from those with experience- what brands/suppliers do you recommend? Any to be avoided?

AC Delco still sold "loaded" calipers as of a few years ago for that body. I would imagine they still do, have done quite a few using them and only got one that developed a leak a few months later. Main thing is that it comes with pads with the tab the back and that the piston has notches in it all around the circumference.

Some pistons that I assume are aftermarket are missing a notch in the piston that will make it impossible to get the initial adjustment correct.

The calipers on the front are a perfect match to the rears if you don't want the E-brake. In a bind or until you can find a set, use the fronts and have your rears rebuilt. I managed to find a set of Cardone calipers a few years back for the rear from Rock Auto.

Just do a search for 'eldorado rear calipers'.   That should get you tons of hits and places that sell them.  They are commonly used for rear disc upgrades on trucks and full size cars so they are reproduced.

I have a little more time now to add that if you actually plan to use the e brake it may be worth getting one of the 'improved' designs.  If you don't really plan to use it then just a little research into figuring out what sort of quality you want.  Some of the sellers claim they have a better design in the parking arm and that they basically 'blueprint' them before they ship them.
