Are 54-56 Cadillac Interior Door Panels interchangeable?

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could use interior door panels from a 55-56 in my 54 Fleetwood? They look similar in shape and design. I'm looking at replacing mine because someone reupholstered it and it's not original. I'm looking to obtain original door panels for my 54 and repaint them if I have to, but I want the original upholstery if possible.

The dimensions (size) are about equal for 54-56
however, the embossing of the interior panels (leather,
vinyl) are different from year-to-year and also vary
for each model.  For example, a series 62 is different
from the Fleetwood.  For your car there are only two
alternatives if you want the exact match.  Either find
a nice original set for sale (difficult) and respray it
or spend the money and get a reproduction set.  These
are two possible places to check for price and availability:

Great, thank you Mike for the info. Do you know if the Fleetwoods used leather on the entire door panel, such as the arm rest and the lower areas or was vinyl mixed in certain places?

Attached is the page describing '54 Fleetwood interior. The upper metal portion color is the same as the painted portion of the dash. The darker door areas are the same as the darker bolsters on the seats. The lighter color is either plain broadcloth or patterned nylon cloth. In either case the light sections on the door panel is broadcloth in the same color as the pleated portions of the seat. The horizontal surface of the armrest is leather or vinyl in the darker tone matching the back surround of the front seat.
