Seller's Description
Possibly the best 1976 Coupe DeVille in the world. I am the 2nd owner. New tires, NOS Caddy wire wheel covers, new AC, perfectly tuned, laser straight, no rust. Best offers considered. A classic rapidly gaining in value.

Is that car worth $30,000 because it is an all original survivor? The add doesn't say what has been done.
I would expect some cost to make it drive safely.

That is a good question.  It shows well in the photos.  Typically, to my knowledge, very nice low mileage CdVs from the 70's top out at around $20,000.  But, if you are the owner of this car why not try to set the bar higher?

I am sure the seller and/or previous owners have maintained the car, so it should be reliable and sold as a driver.  It's a nice color too.

Best of the best pristine low mileage original mid'70s Coupe deVilles have been selling for a lot more than that for a couple years now:

Mecum 8/20 - 1976 CdV Red-white-white leather 1,600 miles - $35,200.
Bring a Trailer 5/8/22 1976 Coupe deVille - Claret-black-red cloth - 3,700 miles - $35,000
BaT 12/6/21 1976 CdV - Firethorn-white-white leather w/red trim - 15,000 miles - $35,000
BaT 5/4/22 1976 CdV - Brentwood Brown- black - Buckskin leather - 272 miles - $41,973

There you go. Eric has a good line on sales of this sort of car. So, $30,000 seems right.

That of course assumes the blue car is in comparable condition to those in the sales results above. Not enough pictures as always.  ::)

Says"best offers considered"--  perhaps winter storage is an annual expense for the present owner he'd like to end?  I'm impressed that the ad says the air conditioning is repaired and running... not one of those "needs a shot of freon..." when that's code language for shot original compressor and, additionally, perhaps, broken climate control. Such WONDERFULLY LOW MILEAGE, but you'll likely looking at needed work brake work (oh those flexi- brake lines can collapse on the inside!), as mentioned previously, other age related service (has the coolant been changed? Old coolant can turn to acid and eat through freeze out plugs--ugh!)  I've had some luck with a low ball offer when I've sufficiently come to my senses about just how much I WANT something expensive and how little I NEED something expensive. (perhaps with age comes wisdom, but then, I'm 77 and own a XLR and an Allante, so wisdom in my case is thoroughly out of the question)   Happy day,  James

"A/C needs to be recharged" translated:

1) Air doesn't work and have no idea why. Could be a $200 repair or a $2,000 repair.

2) We tried charging it but that didn't work so we're going to plead ignorance leave someone else to open the Pandora's box.
