I have a curiosity question in reference to a 1959 Cadillac oil filter housing and cover. I know the 1958 was painted black and the lettering was different on each side of the housing cover.  One side says "USE AC P-115" and the other side said "TYPE S-6 OIL FILTER" attached below. I saw a beautiful 1959 Eldorado Biarritz, but the oil filter said "USE AC P-115" on both sides which I think is incorrect. Also the housing and cover were painted Cadillac blue which may be correct for 1959 but I'm not sure1E346299-DB22-4F42-BF6E-8AEEA75B3244.png

Just found this 1959 NOS piece on eBay. It confirms the lettering should be the same as the 1958 but the color of the filter is definitely (Cadillac) blue as opposed to black in 1958.A467C32E-D91E-443C-B174-F5A8343A870B.png

Wow, I didn't know  there were any new ones of these still out there. I looked, and used ones are around $200.
 What's this one up to?

That's just ridiculous!  But I guess if you need one, and it's the only game in town, you pay the price.
Makes me mad to think of all the new parts I've thrown away. Just kidding! Wish I had some of these though. Would help pay for the restoration of my car.

Is that what it sold for, or is that just how high it's gone so far?
