1960s 1961 Early build glove box guide pin

Here is an offset guide pin from my December build 61.   From my March build 61 they cut a new hole in the glove box and made a straight pin rather then offset.

For some reason I am missing one pin. I still have the screw and washer.

For my rebuild I will be using the straight pin.   

But my question is has anyone else noticed this change.  At first I tried to find someone with another offset pin to buy, but decided it was not worth it.

Well I cannot show one without the other. Here is the later build.

They moved the screw location through the glovebox inline with the pin. You can see the original screw hole still there.
