Greetings, I'm a new member to this forum. I'm trying to identify an air cleaner that my brother recently rescued from a rental house that had been vacated. This was in the garage and was about to be thrown away. I'm a longtime Pontiac hobbyist and don't know anything about vintage Cadillac and LaSalle stuff, so I went online and found this website in the hopes someone can help me identify the air cleaner. From what I've learned so far, this is a Cadillac dual quad "batwing" air cleaner, but I'm not sure what years or what models it was used on. I'm trying to ID it so it can be listed for sale. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Those were used by various brands during the fifties. There are various small differences between each; just by looking at the pictures, I'm not able to tell more. Anyway, you are lucky, those air cleaners are costing a small fortune!

My Educated guess is it is 55/56 Cadillac version since it painted Eldorado gold and has the correct Vee in the center.  The diameter of the carburetors changed in 57, so those looked the same, but were different.  The knobs on the outer pods have the disc style and those were 55/56 and 57 had a cross style.

Thanks for the input, I'll try listing it on eBay.
