The last few times I had the Brougham out and turned on the radio, the antenna does not go up immediately like it used to.  It takes about 5 minutes then it goes up.  Turn the radio off, it immediately goes down, turn it back on and it will immediately go up again but if it sits any length of time, it will not immediately go up.
Any thoughts as to what is causing this??

Thanks

Check for a bad ground connection at the relay or a bad relay. They are common to go bad.

When radio is turned on relay is energized to raise antenna. When radio is off relay defaults to lower antenna.

Could be relay is not grounded good enough, but finally does get enough ground and works to raise antenna. No connection is necessary in the default position, which lowers antenna.

When antenna does not raise try to move relay or tap on it and see if antenna works then.
