Did the 1959 Cadillac Coupe Deville use a 3 piece or 4-piece decorative wrap from the headers to the first mufflers?  Does anyone know?

Acc. to the parts manual the 1959 used 1 flexible steel tubing (147 1401), 8" long, over the left front exhaust pipe most likely to keep temperatures down - I doubt it was for decorative purposes.
