 That's what I'm looking for, that's perfect.

You do need FM but I have that now.

The RediRad looks like an old FM converter where you route the car antenna lead into it and then plug the RediRad antenna lead into the radio. Then a power source with and aux cord.

My iphone does not have an aux port so not sure how this would work. In fact this seems outdated since your phone may not have an aux port. Of course only an issue if you want to use your phone.

You could do like I did and add the FM to your AM radio and the bluetooth transmitter that I linked on Amazon.

This RediRad looks like no phone bluetooth with this.

Not sure others see where bluetooth is provided with this???

  George,

My phone does have a port for external speaker or to plug it into something else. It's a great feature, although sometimes it's a bit of a hassle just because of the cord.
But if I can get the original 56 radio to work with my phone with a Redirad unit, I'm ok with that.
It would be nice to have the FM built into the radio, but I'm sure that's a lot more than a Redirad unit.

Using the cord through the cassette does allow me to make and receive calls through the vehicle's speakers. A semi-sort-of "hands free" operation.

Thanks for the information. I envy that setup.
