Seller's description
1940 Cadillac series 60 special. Original flathead V8. 3 speed manual transmission runs and drives very good. Original interior showing wear .

No rust on body very straight and solid. Power steering and air conditioning added aftermarket works good. Open to offers

Finders notes:  Kind of an inbetweener condition wise, but likely will sell for less.  I like the color but have no idea whether that is an accurate 1940 era color.  I may be one of the few, but I prefer the 1940 grille over 1941 60S, which I have owned.

Bryan-- the addition of ps and ac adds a great deal of appeal for me... leaves me wondering if the radiator and systems were adapted to keep keep that engine from burning exhaust valves under additional load.  I agree regarding the price, as you say, "inbetweener" (great concept)... if this car could be further adapted to take on contemporary highway driving, it would be a wonderful way to see the USA>  \Thanks for posting -- James

It's a perfect candidate for a resto-mod. Modern (pre-computer) running gear, brake system, etc...

The rest is beautiful. Look what 35-709 did to his '35. 40,000 miles and many awards later, he's still having fun with it.

Nice of you to say that, John, thank you.  Big Red and the few other cars I have done have pretty much changed my post-retirement life, for which I am most grateful.

Not to mention the many fine people and great friends this hobby and my cars have introduced me to.
There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Mental Illness".  Dave Barry.   I walk that line.

I've ridden in it and driven it. Like driving a modern day Roller in feel and comfort. Cold A/C, all the creature comforts and a throaty exhaust note.
