I have a nutty idea to build the worlds biggest 2 door CDV.
It would have the limo chassis and interior minus the divider and jump seats.
The top, windshield cowl and dash from a 64 SDV.
And two doors from a CDV. Maybe suicide doors like a Lincoln.

I wonder what issues Ill run into.
Comments and suggestions?
500 engine and T400?
"Coupe de Grasse."

Note: Rolls Royce built 2 coupes on long limo Phantom chassis, 1961.

Having to replace the 59-65 limo top is making you a lot of work. The access to the rear seat will be very poor ,since you will have 3-4 feet of floor to the rear seat, unless you move if forward.  A suicide door on the front isn't going to help much getting in. If you mean a double door ,like to Lincoln, its not a coupe anymore. The four door top will either leave a very long trunk and require moving the seat forward. Or need top to be lengthened. You could use the coupe top just as well, and the rear window would be right.

The body style I might try is a Duel-cowl Convertible. You take a limo. Cut the top off. Rework the back shelf area. Keep the whole rear compartment and divider and front seat.. Replace the cowl from a convertible and sheet metal forward from a convert or the limo ,whichever works better.. Then you only? need to rework door tops and top frame. Finally  a President or  Queen to ride back there.
