In the early stages of restoring radio for 55 Eldorado Convertible. I just heard that the Eldorado Convertible had a different radio than the other 55 models. Anyone know anything about this?

I looked up the 1955 Cadillac radio bulletins. There were 3 radios used.

   7265825 1955 Cadillac sedans (probably 2dr and 4dr)
   7265845 1955 Cadillac convertibles
   7265855 1955 Cadillac series 75

The series 75 has the remote rear seat control- very different

The other 2 use the same bulletin United Motors #6D-1072 Which means they are almost the same.I looked for changes. The only change I noticed was a switch missing on the conv. for a rear speaker control.  I'm not a radio tech, but no rear speaker could be all that is different.

The '55 Eldorado convertible did not have a rear speaker,
thus, no need for a control for that.

Thanks. This really helped!
Where can I find the Radio9 Bulletins you mentioned?  I would like to read the Cadillac Convertible one.

I tried to photocopy the bulletin, but a section of the circuit diagram is printed in orange.
My copier missed most of it.  Likely someone will know where to find them online.
If not these bulletins are normally on eBay.
