looking for any recommendations for suppliers on locating a replacement windshield for my 76 Sedan. The original has developed a crack about 4in long on the drivers side starting from the top of the tinted glass stripe below the roof line. It happened while trying to remove the moulding.Would appreciate any recommendations or if this is possibly repairable, thanks.

Chips are what can be repaired.  Cracks usually there isn't much you can do.  I have heard of cases where they do something to try and keep it from getting worse but I guess its one of those things that has a low success rate and the process can make it worse.

Hopefully someone else has some ideas, I just looked a couple places that seem to have a lot of classic glass and they don't go that new.

A story I was told by a classic glass supplier is that there was one factory in an area like South Asia that had bought some machines and drawings and tooling from the US and had employees with the skills to make that stuff plus literal 1 off custom glass.  That apparently was just a side line of regular new production auto glass.  A few years back a large automaker, like Tesla bought the whole operation to produce glass exclusively for them and just shut down the classic section.  No idea if its true or not but seems plausible and he said since they went away there are tons of applications you just can't get new glass for.
