Repaired the aluminum moldings around the Quarter window.  Beer had dripped on it for years at my father's rented garage underneath the Italian Club in Manayunk (Philadelphia).  It is the only rust that 56 Cadillac ever had.  I had it sanded down but it took a bit of time to get it re-chromed and then reinstalled.

Beer damage?  Not something you hear about that often.

That is what I thought. Mark, any pictures of before and after? Clay/Lexi

I'm trying to think if beer would have any special traits bad or less bad or if its mostly just moisture?  I know one thing that tends to be different now is you don't have all the ashtray content mixed in.   When I was in the bar industry smoking and drinking were still pretty evenly matched and the ash trays and empties ended up in the same trash which one way or another always leaked and made a really stinky mess.  The beer still gets pretty nasty but when I have been around that sort of thing I notice how its a lot less bad now than when it was all mixed.

And historically speaking if someone said their car had beer damage the first thought would be scratches from maybe not having the best judgement on the way home from the bar where maybe a mailbox or the side of the garage door got a little close.

If it was a college student talking about beer damage then maybe shot springs from hauling beer for next weekends bash?  I suppose that could be liquid damage there too from trying to get one more case jammed in the trunk?
