You're right down the street from me (I'm in Mesa).  Glad to see another local Cad guy in the valley.

I found one, a 1952 Cadillac 331. Said to have come from a running car. No transimission or exhaust manifolds. Getting it is going to be complicated as in Eastern Ontario (Canada), area. But these parts don't grow on trees. Very reasonably priced at $750 which I assume is in Canadian dollars, (about $540 USD). Not mine, nor do I know those selling. I pass this on for what its worth. I bought an engine and transmission and will pick them up on Friday, so this weekend I should know that I've got. It will be a 49 to 52 as it has a single barrel carb and bolts through the center of the valve covers.  It looks pretty complete and I have no use for it.  I bought a bunch of other things and this was available.

5.2.25 update.  Engine is from a 1949 series 60.  Complete unit with mostly original engine dress.  Auto transmission intact.  Better Photos later.

I finally got the engine/trans out of the truck.  My little compact tractor had contaminated hydraulic oil and when that was corrected, the engine/trans was too heavy for it.  A neighbor with a little bigger tractor bailed me out and lifted the stuff from the bed of the truck.

The date on the generator is 12 30 48 the way I read the code and most of the stuff on the unit is in really nice shape, not a lot of rust on the exhaust manifolds and it has very old AC spark plugs in it.  This appears to be an early removal from a car.  Old electric fuel pump installed on the intake and the OE voltage regular is also laying there.

Someone fall in love with this and take it away
