Hello all you Cadillac enthusiastic people!

I am the nephew of Larry (Carl) STEIG. He is "legendary" in the Cadillac world. He was president of the Cadillac club in Northern California for years! He did SO much for the club in his tine. He and Ann Steig donated a $175,000.00 Cadillac to the museum.

We have recently been forced to put Larry's wife Ann in assisted living at her wonderful age of 90 years old!

Larry was quite a collector of Cadillac pieces and parts!! We don't want to simply throw away his HUGE collection of pieces and parts in his huge garage and shop.

Does anyone on this platform care to see or might be interested in the amazing amount of Cadillac items in his collection?

Please tell anyone you know about this, please know we are simply trying to help collectors, not trying to sell things for a big profit.

Thank you for anything you can think of.

Also, we have a rare 1941 Cadillac with a factory sunroof in a beginning restoration stage indoors. We also have a parked (20 yrs ago) 1941 touring car that Carl (Larry) and Ann took on country wide tours.

So much Cadillac stuff y'all should be begging to come get something! ❤️

My wife and Ann were like sisters at the GNs. And once, when I was in a very rare argument with Carl on the phone, she came into the room and asked, "Why are you fussing so loud with your brother?" (And she knew full well who I was speaking to.)

The best of luck with getting rid of Carl's stuff. I know he had a lot of it. I have been aiming to call Ann for some time and regret not being able to speak with her now. Today is my BD, and I turned 89, so Ann has a year on me. Hug her for me. Barry Wheeler.

As I recall, the "un-restored" 41-60S is a Special Order, with power windows, and a complete maroon interior. And the drivable one, remember that Carl drove across the USA at least twice with it, and also to Alaska and back. (If it's the one I'm thinking about.) His drivers had to DRIVE.

It also might be the one in "Tucker." I got to make a left turn in it once, and drive it into the GN parking lot.

Check these out and maybe cherry pick the '41 parts as part of the deal.

Barry,

Happy B-Day, 89 you say.

Well there may be hope for me yet, as I get longer in the tooth.

Have fun,

Hi Barry,
Congrats on your 89th.  You've got three years on me.

Please tell more about the '41 power windows.  I didn't know they were available on special order.  Must have been electric?

Like many of us old guys, I have fond memories of Carl.  He would often stop by my Hershey spot and have a chat and a rest.   And of course GN's and later emails.

Dennis, I think they had both electric and hydraulic. And I can't remember what Carl told me this one has. It's a dull blue right now. He sent me a picture of it once when a palm tree fell/leaned on it. No damage as I recall. I responded by saying, "Palm tree by Fleetwood." At the time, it was sitting in his back yard.

When Alan Haas sent me "all" of the SO 60S build sheets that Carl copied from GM files one time when he was President of the CCCA and went to Detroit on the way back. There are some missing, as the Southern Pacific one, the one in the back of the 100 year book, the Kettering car, Carl's car, and the C.E. Wilson car, that I remember. Alan has looked for them in the library and can't find the second stack.

If the original poster reads this, if you find a half inch thick or so sheets of paper with white lettering on a black background, they are valuable and should be sent to our Museum.

I need to hunt for the copies I have so they won't get lost either.
