The quote that you have from Cadillac must have been made before the SRX was introduced ("SRX will capture", "SRX will meet").  Its been out well over a year (the beginning of the 2004 model year, I think...the Lansing Grand River plant manager was talking about it when I toured it during the Detroit Grand National in August of 2002) and is selling very well now that dealers have units in stock that arent optioned into the mid $50,000.00 range as most were when they were first introduced.
