wheel color for 60 convertible?

The back rim on the car is this mauve color.  Can somebody tell me what the color was on the stock steel wheels were from the factory for 1960? I would have thought it was black.

My 60 CDV wheels are a Beige colour, and the car was white.

Seeing as all the cars had the full wheel trims, then it would be pointless painting them the colour of each car.
