Leather Seats

I just bought a caddy convertible with leather seats. They are in decent shape but have a lot of cracks and are very dry. Does anyone know what type of product I can use to soften it up so it does not get worse. I would like to get a few more years out of it before replacing. Also there are a couple spots where it is actual split and was wondering what if anything I can use to stop it from getting worse.Thanks Steve

Mayonnaise.  Test it in an inconspicuous spot to make sure it doesnt stain darker colors.  Wipe it off and apply furniture polish.

Oooh, I dont think I would put a condiment that contains egg whites on leather that will see a lot of exposure to the sun.

I used Leatherique in my 68 CDV with satisfactory results. I have minimal cracking, but the leather felt stiff. It softened it somewhat, but it isnt a miracle cure by any means, but I dont know of any leather product that is. It is a two step process, cleaning and then the treatment itself. If you wish to try it, do it before the hot weather goes away. The application instructions tell you to apply the rejuvenator liberally and then close up the car while parked in direct sunlight. The heat makes the stuff soak in better. I tried it without heat, and then with heat, and the heat makes a definite difference.
