Here is an interesting-like story about a '59 DeVille.

Description says: "......Elvis bought this car for his mom new from the dealer....If you are a true collector of Elvis this is one piece that you can't let slip away....."
There are two problems with this story:
1. Elvis was in Germany from October 1, 1958, until March 2, 1960.
2. His mother died on August 14, 1958,
so it is unlikely that he bought this car for his mother.

I don't think that Elvis purchased any 1959 Cadillacs at all.

But, at award banquets, we'll continue to see some spastic from the local area, doing an imitation of Elvis, beside a red '59 Cadillac convertible.

That's because they don't know the difference.

PS.   If Elvis had purchased '59's, I am pretty sure that some Fins could have taken a few bullets.

No. He bought lots of Cadillacs through the years. He once bought 12 (if I remember correctly) at one time to give to friends and employees in the 60s or 70s.
