does anyone know where on line i can get rebuild instructions  for a stromburg aav  carburator. thanks

Normally the basic how to and spec/settings are included in a carb o/h kit.  Not sure if this occurs with older carbs.

the carb. is on my 1941 cadillac 60 special. the trouble is the instruction sheet , chinese probablly, is so small and the print so blurry that its illegable almost. thanks john

A pamphlet titled "Cadillac Thro-Check 1937-1948 Engine Diagnosis Manual" has about 6 pages on rebuilding the AAV26. I can fax it or scan it for you.

But a word of caution. If you are going to rebuild the carb and just change the needle and seats, clean it, add new gaskets and adjust. Should be no problem. But getting the jets out takes a special tool as does power valve spring in the top of the carburetor. The Cover screw plates over the jets have to be taken out carefull, and make sure the new kit has the metal seals for these.
